Our family is going out to a local ice cream parlor tonight.
Edit: This blog is no longer in use. I have now moved over to Instagram. My Instagram account is @suregal27. Be sure to say hello to me over there! This blog was started to document my personal challenge of knitting a different patch every day for a year. I learned to knit in January 2013, and I started the challenge on March 1st, 2013. These daily patches became a journal of sorts, showing moments from my family's everyday life.

Sims3
The weekend is a great time to play the new Sims 3 expansion pack called "Island Paradise". It has mermaids, island resorts, houseboats, and death by shark. Fun!

Movie Night
Our family went together to see a movie last night. This is very rare, now that the kids are old enough to go on their own.

Silver Car
We gave my daughter her first car today. It's our silver Hyundai Sonata, that she helped us pick out a long time ago.

Hummingbird
Several Anna's Hummingbirds live in our backyard. They seem to eat the aphids on our sycamore trees. Once, I put out a red hummingbird feeder with yellow flowers, and the birds left until I removed it! I've learned since then that they prefer red flowers.

Turtle
I found this big turtle in the street. We enjoyed it for awhile, and then released it in a pond. We marked it with a pink "S" so that we would recognize it later.
