Half and Half

I'm halfway through with my year of knitting! I have now knitted 183 patches. 

This patch is half one color, and half another, and the stairs represent my goal to keep going!

It's too bad that you can't see the real beauty of these purple colors; the iPhone camera has washed out the red in the photo.

Today is the 50th anniversary of the Million Man March. I'm there, in my heart.

The strawberries in the outdoor pot are ripe now. 

Cherry Tomato Variety

My husband brought home a huge box of heirloom variety cherry tomatoes. Of course, the kids won't eat them - they only like the traditional round red ones. So I've been eating these like popcorn all week!

Yellow Butterfly

Most of these summer afternoons a big yellow butterfly has flitted through my back yard, checking out the bushes and trees, and then leaving. It comes and goes so fast, I haven't been able to get a photo of it.

Furry Circle

My cat Dasher and dog Gidget mostly just tolerate each other, but sometimes they end up close together - mostly the cat's doing!

While walking my dog, I saw this ladybug. It was sailing down the gutter on a leaf boat.

Purple Chair

This purple chair is upstairs, in my master bedroom. It has a twin. Sometimes,we wake up to find a pet curled up in each chair!

(PS. The yarn is way more purple in person - my iPhone camera dropped most of the red tint to the yarn.)

School Supplies
