Happy Easter! Nothing better than bunnies made of chocolate :)
Edit: This blog is no longer in use. I have now moved over to Instagram. My Instagram account is @suregal27. Be sure to say hello to me over there! This blog was started to document my personal challenge of knitting a different patch every day for a year. I learned to knit in January 2013, and I started the challenge on March 1st, 2013. These daily patches became a journal of sorts, showing moments from my family's everyday life.

Squirrel
My favorite squirrel, Silver.
She's gone now, and was too quick for me to get a good photo. This photo is of her child, Tippy.

Full Moon
Tonight is the full moon. If you look closely at my knitting, you can see part of the Man-in-the-Moon's face.
The background yarn is a beautiful color called Plum Perfect, but it doesn't show up well in my photo.

Spring
Today is the first day of Spring. This is my Aristocrat pear tree, in bloom. When the petals fall, we call it "California Snow".

Stay Tuned:
I'm switching my post times to the morning after I knit each patch. The daylight is better for taking photos, and then I can start a holiday with an appropriate patch, instead of posting at midnight (if it takes that long!) Can you guess what I'm knitting now that will be shown in tomorrow's post?
Meanwhile, I leave you with this photo for today:

Little scarf
I've completed 2 weeks of patches for my scarf now, so I'm celebrating by knitting a little scarf on my scarf!
It's also the end of the real mini-scarf. I was spending too much time knitting each day, so I decided to concentrate on the real scarf.
P.S. the colors are much better in person than they are in photos :(
Grey, pale pink, pale blue, & pale yellow all seem to fade out in the photos - sorry.

Pi Day
Happy Pi Day! March 14 is known as 3.14 (in America), which is the number for Pi.
The schools are starting to celebrate it as a "holiday", to encourage kids to have fun with math.

Knitting away:
I had to laugh at this cartoon my daughter showed me. It's almost true! I plan my designs out on my iPad, using a wonderful app called StitchSketchLE.
